Mission Statement

Kernow Damo is an independent political journalism and commentary platform run by Damien Willey. It covers UK politics, international affairs, media power, war, human rights and democratic accountability from a left, ecological, anti-war, anti-racist and pro-democracy perspective.

Damien Willey is a member of the Green Party, but Kernow Damo is not an official Green Party publication, is not produced for the party, and takes no editorial instruction from it or any other political organisation.

The publication aims to be accurate, evidence-led and clear about the difference between fact, analysis and opinion. Its purpose is to scrutinise power, expose hypocrisy, challenge injustice and hold powerful bodies to account.

Kernow Damo takes no sponsorships or paid promotional partnerships. Aside from advertising and platform revenue, it is funded only by member and viewer donations. It is regulated by IMPRESS and is committed to its Standards Code, corrections and complaints process.
